Melbourne Group – LEJOG Adventure
Our group of three couples from Melbourne (mid-60s to early 70s, all with bikepacking experience) completed the iconic Land’s End to John O’Groats ride over 28 days, covering 1,800 km at an enjoyable pace. Two couples hired Raleigh Centros e-bikes from The Cycle Company, which proved ideal – comfortable, reliable and rarely needing more than half the battery per day.
We were fully self-supported, carrying panniers and staying in country inns and B&Bs. Our route favoured quiet roads, canal paths and National Cycle Network trails, avoiding cities as we made our way north through England and into Scotland.
Logistics from overseas were simplified by The Cycle Company, with pick-up from Shawford and a smooth courier return from Wick. We recommend avoiding peak rail travel with loaded e-bikes.
The scenery, historic sites and warm interactions along the way made it truly memorable. Huge thanks to Tom Corcoran and his team for helping make this ride of a lifetime possible!

We have a range of electric lbikes for hire, from e-mountain bikes to foldable commuter e-bikes. These are top quality, and are available in all frame sizes. Our e-bikes are carefully chosen to provide good battery range and powerful electric assistance to your riding. All rentals include helmet, lock, puncture repair kit, charger, online maps and advice and guidance on the best routes for your bike hire adventure.
OUR LOCATION
We are located right next to Shawford station, which is an hour, direct from London and 20 minutes, direct from Southampton and 10 minutes from Winchester. We are 5 minutes from the M3 and have plenty of free parking. We are situated on a quiet country lane with access to a huge range of e-cycle trails, country lanes, the New Forest and the South Downs Way.

We are local and know all the best rides and routes for electric bikes. We provide everything you need for your e-bike hire including helmets, locks, puncture repair kits, chargers, online maps and advice and guidance on the best routes for your bike hire adventure.
