It’s also a great place to visit for a weekend with plenty of places you can enjoy with the help of your e-bike. Here’s some of our favourites, including a few spots to enjoy some food and drink rewards if you finish at Winchester after riding the South Downs Way:
1. Winchester Cathedral
One of the largest in Europe, a cycle to visit Winchester Cathedral is definitely one not to miss.
2. Brunch at Josie
Arguably one of the best brunch spots in Winchester! Treat yourself to a stack of Biscoff pancakes - much needed fuel for a day of cycling.
3. The River Itchen
Flowing through Hampshire, the river is the perfect place to stop and rest with lots of ideal spots for a dip on a hot day.
4. Lunch at Shoal
